George pool filters are new revolutionary swimming  pool pump and filter systems.

The main advantage of the George is that it saves water.  Backwash water is not discarded into drains or gardens as with most existing pool pump and filter systems.  Backwash water is, instead, automatically filtered through a replaceable or washable filter bag and returned to the pool.

The backwash water returned to the pool is of course already chemically treated.  Returning the water to the pool thus saves on chemical usage. Also, no chemicals are discarded into the environment.

Other advantages of George include ease of operation. George  auto-backwashes every time it is switched off.  There is no need to perform a cumbersome backwash procedure involving switching the pump off between every one of 3 settings, used during a normal backwash procedure, of a multiport valve, which multiport valve may in itself be difficult to operate.  The leave trap basket of George remains clean as it is also automatically backwashed.

As a result of the auto-backwash that occurs every time the pump is switched off, the filter media remains clean.  This ensures that the pump motor operates efficiently and there is no undesirable pressure build-up against which the motor must operate.  Furthermore, clean filter media ensures proper filtration.  The motor thus runs for shorter periods, saving   electricity.

All of the above is made possible using simple and very reliable mechanical components.
